paddles carbon or plastic+ swash mix

Kinda new to all this and dont really have the funds to do the research myself but you hear so many conflicting stories many using raptor paddles plastic align the carbon jobs align offer.
My reason for asking is would changing paddles speed up the roll and flipping rates without out upping the swash mix and causing the throws to bind.

Im currently using the black carbon align offerings as i bought heli with these fitted. pitch is +-11
my swash mix is currently aile +65
elev -65
pit +60
would be interested to see how you guys run yours and opinions on paddles.

The swash mix is not an exact guide to how much cyclic you have.
Better to measure the cyclic at the blade - about 7-8 degrees is what I have - I wouldn't mind it faster.
I did some work to eliminate the cyclic binding at full collective - worst spot is the swash against the mast collar on full negative - I moved the collar to above the bottom bearing.
I also have a servo disc on the stick that acts like a cyclic ring and stops me going into the corners.
Seems a lot of 3D pilots allow the binding and just don't put the stick there. I don't like the idea of a link popping of when I've got it all wrong and I'm bending the sticks in panic!
I have flown the raptor superlight plastics and the std aligns and there isn't much difference - I think it tracks better with the aligns.

There are other options such as the K&BDD plastics.
It seems that plastic paddles will survive almost any crash and carbon ones won't.

The most livelyl paddles are supposed to be the cystubs - don't try them without flybar weights!

most run 7-8 degrees cyclics and choice of paddle is purely down to each flyer .. its not just about weight with paddles but shape and length, leading edge .. I know a few that use raptor paddles and in FF they tend to pitch alot less than others ...I found white 25g are just right for both my knights ... but the 3d'rs that i know tend to use green 20g ones with flybar weights along the flybar ... its all about finding what is right for you at the end of the day ... ... plus theres lots of other things to do like flybar length and other things to make the cyclics faster ...the list is endless ....
