Depending on fuel your using if say you on 30% fuel you would need to have the screws turn out 2.5 turns then bring them in to desired amount. if your on 10% then you need to be in about 1 to 1.1/4 turns out but alway check crank case after short hovers to check temp.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I found the recommended starting settings of 2 turns on each to be slobberingly rich but hoverable but the engine was stone cold almost on the backplate using 30%.

About 1.5 turns out on the main it started to generate some heat in the backplate and ran better, ended up at 1 and 1/4 turns out on main and the same on the midrange.

well managed to get this engine run in yesterday and tuned with Tom burgess's help(cheers mucker!)and its ended up at 1 turn on the mid and about 1 1/4 on the high .
Holy Sh!t this things got some power! its vurtually unboggable! i'm running about 13 degrees on collective and it doesnt bogg on climb outs,tic-tocs or big loops and it still needs a bit of tweaking here and there.
im using an mp5 s/b and its running nice and consistent with that
gonna have some fun with this engine!

there is a very obvious difference over the 50 hyper which is good considering the price difference aswell,im also running a redline 53 in my other 600 and the 55 seems way more powerfull than that which justifies the price for me

Im using it in my vibe, which has a weight disadvantage Im hoping its going to negate that, if the weather would have been better it would have been all sorted by now and I would be seeing what it can really do.
                  All the best

Funny this thread apears now, i am in the process of running my 55 in,as said two turns out on both needles is way rich almost un hoverable (is that a word?) so i am winding both needles in and was getting worried as i am down to 1 1/4 turns out on both needles and am still a little rich, but having read the above that puts my mind at ease
