T-Rex 600 fan cover mounting bolts

I am assembling a T-Rex 600 and have hit a snag. The plastic hexagonal rod, called mounting bolt in the manual, appears to be too short. If I insert it in one side of the fan cover it goes in about 24mm. By my reckoning therefore it ought to be about 48mm long. The ones in this kit are only 42mm long.

Is this correct and if so what am I doing wrong please?

Were talking 6mm in size difference. If both ends comfortably fit in without any real slop I wouldnt worry about it mate. There are two rods?

There is another bag of bits in the box with the correct length hex mounting bolts. I have been all through the manual and it doesn't mention the bag so I feel safe that I can and should use these.
