  • 700 maintenance tip

    I found last night the bellcrank that drives the tail pitch shaft was loose. It was tight in the frame, but the vertical bolt that goes through the bearings had worked its way loose. There was plenty of locktite on the thread, but it looks like a year of flying (23 Gallons) and all the vibration must have loosened it. It worth checking on your 700 IMHO as its hard to check without removing it from the frame. For that reason alone I haven't checked it in a year.

    I suppose you could waggle the bellcrank vertically to check, either way it might be an idea to investigate before it drops off !
