Insulation tape would do the job, might have to do a couple of winds to pad it out a bit. using fabric tape, its a lot more sticky so it will grip the boom better, and will create more friction against the clamp to stop it moving. Just be careful when tightening the bolts, you could over do it and fracture the carbon boom!

Just wanted to say thank u to all of u answering my possibly dumb questions.
Also a big thanks to the lads at DMHC who made mockery of my ignorance of "northern tape" ( At least Aidi had the decencey to spell it out to me) Thanks Aid!
All in all has taken me a while tho am hoping to get her maidened this weekend at DMHC. Has been a steep and fun (thanks to you guys) learning curve into nitro.
Once again thank you all

one of the best things you can do every time (night) you plug in to start to charge for flight ,is to go over the hole heli and make sure all nuts, ball joints etc are all tight ,dont go mad but a once over every time is always worth the time it only takes 10 mins . i still have a rappy 30 thats about 6yeas old never crashed never had a miss hap due to a part coming of etc
one last thing after you have had a tank in her when the engin is hot retighten the screws from the engin to the muffler again dont go mad as its soft metal and you can strip the treadsLast edited by smokingtommy; 12-11-2009, 08:40 AM.
