  • 600 Mainshaft tight fit...

The mainshaft in the 600 is a very tight fit in the one way bearing sleeve. Its so tight, I have to put a hex driver through the top jesus bolt hole and 'screw' the mainshaft into the oen way bearing sleeve.

    Is this the norm?

I don't think it is, Paul.

I installed a new one last weekend and both the old and new were not a tight fit.

Cheers Mart, forgot I posted this.

I found that the one way sleeve was wedged into the one way bearings, and the bearings must have pushed on the sleeve.

Got it out though with a bit of heat and a mallet.

Ah. A bit like my clutch/fan on the 600. Got it on - god knows how I'll get it off when the need arises...
