changing these main bearings is not too difficult,I had a harder time with the bloody Align screws.
I heated them up on the hob then popped em out using a tea towel and a small mallet then heated up again and popped the new ones in gently does it.
Or for the sake of the cheap price they are you can just get new holders with the bearing in

I have a couple of spare main bearing blocks Martin.Originally posted by rcslopesurfer View PostI like the idea of a spare set of blocks that does make sense.
Always nice to make the job easier..
As quoted plenty of heat on the alloy bearing blocks then a soft tap on the bench and the knackered bearings usually drop out very easy.

can we see a video of rob doing the full body shimmy?Originally posted by robgt View PostJust a thought here...
I've seen a full body shimmy on the Trex600 and it came down to the frames being worn out making them weak.
We found this by putting a hand on top of the frames to hold them firmly, and then grabbing the head and rocking it side to side - there was a lot of movement!
Might be worth a check to see if your 700 has done the same?
Cheers,
Rob

Could be many things Martin..
Double check your Head build against the manual.. Ie are the thrust race inner and outer races the correct way around?
Are the metal shims in the right places ie the ones between the radial bearings and the ones between the Dampeners & Grips?
Are the main blades balanced? Not damaged? Internal Lead ballast shifted?
Are both the Main blade grip attachment bolts tight into the feathering shaft?
You haven't mistakenly placed a washer under just one? ( There shouldn't be any washers under either )
Is the feathering shaft greased?
Just stabs in the dark really bud but I would certainly check blade balance first

Gazza

The heli is as it was the first day it flew nothing taken off of it
nothing changed and has not been crashed.
It's been flying realy well that was untill i took it to charmouth.
The week before charmouth i put the head speed up to 2000
From 1850 it still flew well that weekend.
Soon as i flew it at charmouth i could see something was not quite right.
I tried altering the head speed but it just made the
Shakes either faster or slower nothing would stop them.Martin
