    Would vote, but no options for neither or the o.s. bubbless clunk, which is not a fuel magnet!

    So on a 600 header tank, on the other 600 and 700 o.s. bubbless clunk.

      A fuel magnet is a modified clunk that holds a sponge around it. The idea is the sponge absorbs fuel and constantly feeds fuel to the carb even if it's out of the fuel while inverted.

      It's surprising how much fuel is actually sucked up by the sponge so it can be out of the fuel for many seconds.

      The downside as has already been mentioned is that the sponge can disintegrate if left out of fuel or subjected to the exhaust gasses that pressurise the tank running a non- pumped engine. This in the worst case can cause an engine cut while flying if not checked regularly.

      They are very effective however so worth considering but only if you are willing to keep a close eye on them.

        Though not aligns:

        50 = header + bubbless

        90= magnet (YS)

          Header tank, easy to look after and less to go wrong, change the clunk tubes at regular intervals.

            For what it's worth, OS do a metal "foamy clunk". No idea how well it works, but presumably it's pretty impervious to exhaust gasses!

              I use it in a gasser works very well but the tank isnt connected to the exhaust. Takes every last drop though.
