  • Building 700 LE. What fuel 15% or 30% ???...

    Hi guys,

I am building a 700 LE which I find quite easy compared to the 450 Pro I just finished, nice to have BIG parts!

Just a question, I am running Coolpower 15% in my 600 NSP which for me is fine I guess, I am a sport flyer looking to move into 3D.

Would you recommend starting with 15% on the new 700 LE or straight away start using 30% to break in the engine with that fuel?
Because I will probably end up using 30% when my flying develops.
Is there quite a performance hike from 15% to 30% ?

    Looking forward to your thoughts/recommendations....

    Ciao,
    Robin.

I was always tought to use the fuel your going to use for running in. 15% is very low and most modern engines are designed for 30% if cost is a factor go for 20% if its not then go straight to 30%

Hi i could be wrong but i always thought if you want more power you use more nitro. But if you are happy with the way your motor runs on 15% why spend more money for 20% or 30%. There could be a good reason for using 20% or 30% and if so can someone explain.
I am still learning and i am using 12% optifuel enough power for me at the moment. Motor runs lovely smooth and responsive it's an os50hyper. would like to hear some of your thoughts.

30% is an expensive way of running a 90 unless you fly the pants of your machines then 20% is more than fine,i use optifuel 20 on my 600/700 and its fine for all but the top flyer's IMO and at i think £8 a gallon more it soon adds up.

          Thanx guys,

I'll just go for the 30%, more power and the engine runs cooler.
The extra price for the fuel is not an issue for me.
