      Cheers Snapshot!

Seeing as you run an ATG on your 600 perhaps I can ask another question.
Ive never flown with a governer before, once its set up and flying is there any way i can test it's working properly? Just tach the headspeed? Or are there other ways?

        Hi

Well, I'm no nitro pro, but when I put a gov on my Srimok and wanted to test it I was asking the same questions, but an easy test is to take it up and then negative pitch to bring it down quick. You will notice the engine over revving if the gov is not working.

The only true way is with a tach, your engine note will be changing all the time so you can't go by that. the only other way is to do a manoeuvre that could unload the head, this will make the engine overspeed which the gov should reign in.

Set the governor headspeed, test fly it, land, change the governor headspeed by a noticeable amount, test fly it again. You should be able to tell the difference in the physical headspeed.

This test obviously doesn't give you the true physical headspeed, it only tells you that the governor is working.

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?
