  • Fitting CSM gov to 600

After fitting the magnet and intalling all the fan shroud etc, I have noticed the magnet to be right under the sideframe.

From what was said at the field the Align sensor is an L shape to get round this problem.

If I fitted the Revlock sensor with the CM Synergy mount, the magnet itself would be about 3mm away from the sensor, is this ok? Or does the sensor HAVE to pass directly over the magnet?

    Cheers

The sensor does have to pass directly over the magnet. Any hall effect sensor has a certain amount of tolerance but these are so small that it is best to keep it accurate. I used the csm/synergy mount and the plastic triangle wedge and it works absolutely fine.

      Ah cool, cheers.

Didnt think to wegdge it, as thought the sensor would have to be perpendicular to the magnet.

No the CSM sensor holder has a plastic triangular wedge that you superglue the sensor head to and then carefully bend the sensor wires/cores and then put heat shrink over the whole lot. I done this and then pushed the screws through the heatshrink for holding it.

i just heated the metal mount put a 90 deg twist into it
and packed it out with 3mm nuts to suit, works a treat.
no faffing with super glue and bent wiring etc
