Metal fan upgrade..

Heard a few people up the field talk about getting the metal fan, but is it necessary?

I take it we are talking 600? I would say yes. I have never put a 600 plastic fan together that was straight. I always use quick fans as i found the balance of the Align metal fan was pants.

I was a little annoyed that the fan in my 600 LE was plastic. IMO that is much more beneficial than metal aileron levers.

If you can afford to get the Quick UK one then do. The two original plastic ones in my 600's both caused problems. 1st was way out of balance and the 2nd spat out a gov magnet.

Since using metal fans from Quick, never had a problem. Certainly worth the money IMO

Running the metal fan, seems better if you have governor magnets in there.
