Flybar Snap..........

As per title flying weekend when she suddenly started to rock & noticed something fly off, manage to land her to find one side of flybay snap clean from seasaw, is this common problem or just put it down as one of those things!.

does happen...think i saw it on helifreaks but long time back. Don't think its a issue with design.

It depends on how you fly. If your quite sharp and aggresive on the cyclics, it's quite easy to fatigue one and snap it in flight. I used to regularly snap flybars on my old knight 3d, maybe every 5 or 6 gallons. It made no difference using a 600n flybar either. In flight it felt hardly any different, no vibes until landing, then as the headspeed dropped when spooling down it would shake a little.

How old was it? Ever crashed and bent and just straightened? It might be worth considering changing it every 10 gallons or something (depending on how old this one was!).

Is it held with a grub screw?
And did it snap where its held in place?

On the knight it's just used to fatigue at the point where it exited the flybar seesaw.

Yep your right but at the time I wasn't overly bothered to do a post but then decided day or so latter to do a post to see if its common, obviously not.
Have to put it down to me beinging to aggresive must admit do like giving her a good bashing.
