T-Rex 700 V-bar v4.0

OK well once again the torturous wait for the courier has begun!!!

This may be old hat for some of you here but I've bitten the bullet and bought a T-Rex 700 with V-Bar and associated toys!!! Hopefully it will arrive tommorrow and I'll get it built for a week Sunday!

Thanks to Jamie at Fastlad for putting up with all the endless questions about a Nitro etc as Ive only had Electric Heli's so far

He did me a really good deal as well

Can't wait to try this one out!!

I'm going to start trying to learn some 3D with this and hopefully the longer flight times and better stability in the wind etc will make it slightly easier

I did almost exactly the same except I did fly the 700 with a flybar for a few months. I wish I had gone Nitro a long time ago.
The 700 with Vbar is a truly awesome machine, flies pretty much straight out of the box with the default Vbar set up, just make sure to check the swash position and don't get your pitch reversed like I did for the first flight...

the 700 in standard is an excellent machine, love mine, if you wanna flog the standard head for a really good price let me know ;-)

Looks like you have 600/500 helis. Not sure if a 700 with a v bar will make it 'slightly easier' to learn 3d with. What are you expecting of it which you feel will be beneficial in terms of making it easier?

More like 7-8 minutes, but being nitro it's 7-8 of consistant power for the whole flight. Hope you budgeted in the cost of a 90 because they sure do like to drink that fuel

That they do for sure, amazing how much more fuel you can get through than with a 50.

i have a plan on making my fuel bill cheaper, wait untill someone using the same fuel as you is flying then fill up from their bottle, you'll find your own fuel lasts much longer

As for flight time,i would expect another minute maybe but would be very surprised if there is much more of an increase but would be interested with knowing what you actually get.

If anyones interested I started building tonight, Just got the head done. Looks well weird without the Flybar. I'm just using the Mikado V-Bar T-Rex 700 kit which uses the standard Align head.

Not a lot of 'Bling' on this heli unless the RcScrews or the V-Bar count. It comes pretty well specced.

Hoping to have it finished for next weekend maybe . Getting pretty excited to see how it feels to fly a 700.

Off to Leuchars tommorrow so not much building until Saturday/Sunday evening

As for flight time will I'm not sure but I wont be running the tits off the engine or having a stupidly high headspeed until I can use it.
