I've done it, someone at my field has done it also!

But now I'm flying F3C so flybarless not allowed

So when I can advertise in the for sale section, there will be a vbar and mikado conversion for the 600!

                      Mike

As Busterboy says I have one on my 600nsp. Not been exactly straight forward to date. First one I had was faulty and was replaced by FL but not before it had crashed three times. To be honest the first two were due to the links in the Mikado head upgrade kit not being long enough to grip properly so I had longer links installed and now that is fine.

Needs a fair bit of tinkering (one of the reasons I got it actually though as the setup possibilities are endless.) If you read the forums you see a lot of stuff about the autotrim feature and I am currently fettling with different setups - seems you need to redo the autotrim with every different flight mode and therefore head speed.

The support via the Mikado forum is second to none - they answered my queries straight away and looked at my setup files.

I have had a few frustrating flights recently - threw a governor magnet and it doesn't like not having a single headspeed, trim wise.

Positive points - it looks great and you can setup insane roll rates or calm it down at the flick of a switch (worth getting the control panel to allow non laptop changes at the field - so budget for that also.)

If you are ever over this way I can take you through setup, software etc - you have to become a bit of an expert unless someone else in the club has one (not in my case) - Helifreak also has a lot of useful stuff.

                      Happy flying

You dont need to trim for headspeeds you trim for initial fettling of any imperfection in mech setup and to give the software a heads up on your trims.

Leave the cyclic optimiser active or re activate it if you wish to make any major headpseed change or blade change. The optimiser will learn any changes in 2 or 3 flights.

I have run and tried many headspeeds on the leccys and also during autos with decaying headspeed and its fine.
