  • Trex 600 Elevator Frame Bearings

    Howdie,

    Has anyone replaced these bearing in their 600? Before i attempt to remove them, just wondered if its an easy job or something to be left alone!!

    i pushed mine out once! came out easy, they go out the heli by the way, not in lol

      Never had to replace the bearings in the frames for the elevator shaft but think they are pressed in and are not a replaceable item.

      What you could do is remove the standard bearing along with the alloy bushing and replace with a flanged bearing,.. just measure the id of the bearing for the shaft and then measure the hole left in the frame where the alloy bushing goes and get a flanged bearing to suit. This could be just pressed in from the outside of the frames and left there with friction or bonded in with a little epoxy.

      I've got a busted set of frames so i might try and see how difficult it is to remove the standard bearing and alloy bushing and get some dimensions for a flanged bearing.
