If your building from new you might want to consider the Quick UK ball & link set, the standard links seem to wear quite quickly & develop slop, the Quick UK gear just goes on and on.

      Hi

Started the build last night, I am fitting the quick uk ball & link set as I build, I have just finished the head build and the links seam very tight even after a squeeze with the pliers, do I need to ream out the links? or will they free up after a flight or two.

      Cheers

When I fitted the Quick UK ball & link set to mine the links fitted perfectly, tight to get on but smooth when fitted and no drag, definitely no reaming required. You will find that fitting a Quick UK link to an Align ball will make the link very tight as the Align balls are bigger.

Don't forget you still need two Align balls fitted to the swash for the radius arms to the mixer, Quick UK don't supply new arms.

Yes, I will check to make sure that I have not got the top part of the swash 90 degrees out, i.e q.uk links on align balls.

          Thanks

            Good to see you've bought a 700

The quick UK links are fairly tight to start with, i had to sqeeze them quite hard and then they got nice and free and havnt worn at all since. theyre still hard to get on and off which is good!

It might be worth picking up an extra bag of links from quick uk for about £3 a pack of 10, as its a pain in the a** when you crash and loose a link so you cant fly.
