Head speed?

hi everybody ... I've been flying my trex600 with no governor (using program mix on my DX7). I'm now installing a governor (revlock 20). So I'm just wondering which head speeds should I start with? At the moment I'm starting into the 3D world (inverted flights, inverted circuits, frustrated attempts of tic-tocs, etc).

I was planning to start with something like:

Normal: disabled
Idle1: 2000
Idle2: 2100

Is that a good start point? Too low/high?

2100 or 2050 for 3D. The 17,000 max power point on the hyper is about there. The idea is to set it so it pulls down onto the max power band.

I have about 1800 and about 2100.

i did this without a programmable mix by using sub trim on ch7. ch7 is on the flight mode switch.
Max sub trim puts the head speed about 1800 in idle1, then about 20% end point on top of that gives the 2100. The other end point is set to put the channel output at normal centre to switch the gov off in normal (be sure to check that if you ever change the sub trim).
that leaves all the pmixes free in case you want cyclic throttle mixing (uses two) and rudder to gov mix (constant head speed in reversing piros...).
....not get round to setting those up though!

Run mine 600N

1850,1950,2100

1850 Normal, for some orientation practice.

1950 Idle 1 although I just go to Idle 2

2100 is spot on, as under load its should drop into the OS50 best RPM of 17000. be around 2050 at the head.
