  • 600 NSP test flown but seesaw issue

I test flew my trex 600 super pro this afternoon but noticed a very stiff seesaw action.
was wondering if anyone else has had this on a superpro?
On taking the seesaw off of the headblock it was noticed that the set bolts were slightly to short & the seesaw bearings were being loaded up & hence locking the seesaw.
I tried to fly it like this but it was almost like it was constantly going out of trim so landed & fitted two very tiny washers to pad out the thread on the set bolts & now the seesaw is free as it should be.
I took it for a few more flights & found it alot more livelier than my pro & with a lighter feel in the air not sure if this is what most people find with the super pro.

I think Davewaddy had the same problem on one of his NSP's. If I remember rightly he said exactly the same in that the shoulder on the bolts were too short.I'm not sure whether he fitted spacer washers or thinned out the seesaw at the pivots.

I had thought about thinning the metal on the pivot point but it was as easy to fit a washer in the end.
It could be that the bearing recesses are just a bit shallow also.
I had a spare set of set screws these were fitted 1st in the hope that the seats were slightly longer but unfortunatly they loaded the bearing up in exactly the same way.

I had exactly the same problem with a stiff seesaw during my build. However, in spite of applying the loctite on the securing bolts with a tooth pick, I still overdid it a little. So, having pulled the seesaw off, cleaning it up, and re-installing the bolts, all works fine now.
