They are 9.5mm ID with a thickness of 3.53mm and durometer of 70.

    Cost, £2 for 8

They may need an extra shim to compress them a bit more, but I'll let you know how they go.
Did you find these online? Been looking tonight but cant seem to find any.

As one of my posts above states.

Any engineering suppliers or the like should stock o-rings.

I had a local branch of Hayley's in my area.

I also had to use 2 1mm spacers instead of the normal 1 to compress the 0-rings so that it wasn't a lose fit.

I know it's not related to the title of the post but what paddles are you using?

Found there was a Hayles in Derby so popped in but I could only get 9.12 x 3.53 o-rings.

Just like others on this thread, I'm also trying to make a 700 more FAI-ish. So far, My 700 started as stock-out-of-the-box configuration and the changes I've made so far are:

                1. Added flybar weights (an old pair of Vibe 90 ones I had at home) - the heli tracks pretty well with the stock white Align paddles so have stuck with them and just increased the mass to slow things down a bit.

                2. Reduced the swash mixes to also slow down the reactions a bit.

                3. Added 8.5mm spacers between the blade grips and the stand-off balls to reduce (or is it increase?) the delta offset. This made a noticeable improvement to how the heli self-corrects in the hover as it slowly piros in the wind.

Just bought some Radix FAI blades - the really heavy ones. The idea behind this is to improve the hovering collective stability, but haven't had a chance to try them yet. It should improve the forward tracking as well, but that is already pretty good, so won't be looking fro great changes there to start with.

Next step - re-drill & tap the mixing arm mounting position on the flybar carrier to increase the flybar ratio and add even more hovering stability.

All-in-all, I didn't expect much from the 700 for my flying style given that my previous 90 size helis were Freyas (two), Millenniums (three) and a Vibe, but this machine has just been trouble-free and it just works. Straight out of the box it flew straight and did what it was told, even if the cyclic were a bit manic, but hey that's what it was designed for, so no complaints here.

I'm enjoying this 90 no end, and feel much more comfortable with it than I ever have done with any previous 90 size heli. So far, all of these adjustments have improved the machine for this type of flying, so all is going well.

One thing I do need to sort out is the engine tuning - have an ongoing problem with the tail kicking in the hover which is all down to the needle settings on the engine, but that's work in progress.

What dampers are you using? Also are you using the stock paddles?

I'd certainly be interested to know if anybody comes up with some softer dampers as I have a 700 which I've converted to petrol and the stock dampers are a bit too firm. I know people are saying about O rings but something matching the original sixe would be preferable.

Am I to take it that from the lack of responses to this there are no alternative dampers, presumably insufficient interest for them not to worry about non 3Der's?
