  • Fusuno V2 700 canopy and balls...

I have just fitted my new Fusuno canopy and to ensure the servo balls on the A arms were not rubbing I had to swap them so they are facing in towards the heli.

Has anyone else had to do this as well when they have fitted a V2 canopy to their 700?
    Regards,

ive recently fitted a fusuno v2 canopy to my 600 and had to mess around with it to gte it to fit properly.i had to cut the ends off the servo horns as they rubbed the inside of the canopy.love the canopy but the fit could be better.

The fit is tight, but once I had moved the balls over to the other side of the a arms the fit seems fine, just this is a little off on the geo to the servo arm. Hence my slight concern.

Did you need to move the balls inboard on the A-arms Tim?

No Jason but I left the rubber stand-offs on.

They say you must remove them for the fusuno v2 but the servo wheels were rubbing the inside of the canopy so I left the stand-offs on as quoted.

Hmmm, I took the rubbers off as I wasnt happy about how much I was having to rive at the canopy to get it to reach the bolts. Its a tight fit! I wonder if it has the same effect as those record breaking swim suits! LOL

The first V2 canopy I had rubbed on the nuts on the servo horns and the balls on the bell cranks. I kept thinking I will sort that out soon......
Never did and it wore through
The new V2 I now have on I used some spare tail blade washers (the thick ones you get with Radix tail blades) to space out the quick UK canopy mounts and it now clears all locations I took off the canopy rubber thingies BTW

LOL - well the heli got a outing last night with the new canopy on. I am slightly disappointed to report it has a crack in it already! looks good though.

Just put a Fusuno v2 on my 700... didn't even know that you were supposed to remove the canopy rubbers! Anyway, drilled out the holes and fitted the grommets and get no rubbing from any of the linkages.

I guess with others having problems with clearance they are not all made uniformaly... i must have got lucky with mine (thanks heliward0)
