  • 600NSP clone

Went to a heli shop today to pick up a patch cable for phoenix as mine has broken and saw what I thought was Trex 600 hanging in the window and thought cool, they are doing align stuff now - I was wrong.

    Flasher 600 Nitro

The components looked very cheap and nasty. Can't believe how it looks the same. Even the colour coding on the canopy is the same.

A guy in the club I fly at has one of these on order. Looks like the Align logo has just been ground off them

All I'd say is that the 500 version I saw was better quality than the Align 500. The box was a **** take though as it was an Align box with the Align bits blanked out

Frames were better finished. All the metal looked better finished. Can't say how it went together as I only looked at it. The swash was nice and solid whereas both the ones I've had on my 500 are pretty loose. Just my opinion on a quick look and feel...oooer Mrs

Maybe this 600 won't be as bad as I have been telling him then

Surely if it's a knock off 500 or 600 (with Align ground off bits, or covered up on boxes etc) then the quality would be identical?

i suspect somehow that this will not be a good kit and i for one would be wary about trusting the components.

I may be wrong but copies original merchandise tend to lack the same quality control and manufacturing consistency of originals in most products. I would go as far as warning possible danger even!

Just my opinion but the Align kit is good enough value as it is and you get every pennies worth of a proven product/design.

The company that makes them supplies bearings to other manufacturer's and supplies machined parts to other kit producers so bit of a sweeping statement to comment on possible danger and lack of quality ????.

Wasn't that long ago I saw commments on here slagging of Aligns quality control, how things change eh ??.

                  Cheers,

As i said... i may be wrong but surely if they could measure up on the quality of parts/manufacture they would come up with their own designs?

I think it perfectly reasonable to question quality and safety of a product that is a direct replica of an original especially in the case of a 50 nitro!

I'd have thought that there's no inherent reason why a clone would be lower quality than the real thing -it just depends what materials they use and how good the tolerances of the machining are. They could be using exactly the same equipment as Align for all we know. The thing is though that this company has very little track record and I wouldn't take the chance on a 600 size heli. A clone 450? maybe, but a 600 is just too dangerous to take a chance with.

Don't see why ??, the design is proven so where's the safety issue ??.

I've got a 450 CF Flasher, it's exactly the same as my SE v2, can't fault the quality of the machined components, they look exactly the same but without the Align logo.

As mentioned previously, it doesn't look cheap. Not sure how they are doing it or what the deal is, but the basic airframe is spot on.

                        Cheers,

Interesting slant on the anti-rotation bracket. I've often considered that to be a bit of a weak link on the align models.

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

Is it me or is the clone not more expensive than the real thing? £379.99 for the clone and the TR600 is £309.99

Metalurgy is probably the main difference between genuine and clone but as most have said it could be the same factory that supplies Align... if they dont CNC mill their own parts...

After what Mart61 mentioned about the Robins R22 at the weekend regarding metalurgy...

That's just a clone of the Align "A-arm" upgrade. Surely you didn't think that they came up with that one themselves?
