not wanting to be the voice of doom......but ...... engines quite often hydro lock, at which point my starter normally stops and won't turn over the engine, saving me a bent conrod etc. This thing looks like it would just carry on regardless OR am I being over cautious and more power is better?

further to my last post, maybe this has a slip clutch on or it something to stop it carrying on when the engine is locked up? Can't see anything in the spec to say.

                    Totally agree.

When my starter refuses to turn the engine over I know that either the engine is flooded or my starter battery needs swapping out.

How does it look like it would snap a conrod? I wouldnt of thought it would be as powerful as a Dynatron?

spec says it will start a 50CC engine, plane or helicopter......that to me sounds a bit beyond where Dynatron are right now, I'm just asking the question, I suspect nobody has the answer at this point but for me I actually like the fact that my starter isn't too powerful.

im with you now, i was only going off the fact that it is run by a fairly low voltage pack at 11.1v well closer to 12v fully charged.

                            Hi

This thing has been kicking around in uncased prototype form for ages, used it myself a couple of years ago at the Align Fun Fly, every one loves it that's used it and I don't know why it's taken so long to make it to production.
Not sure about the up to 50cc bit but certainly it has enough power!

We have them on order and hope to have stocks in a few weeks but you never know with Align.

                            Cheers
                            Bob

It's certainly a very tidy looking thing, any idea what the UK price will be Bob?
