well the silicon worked, for one flight!

Back to the drawing board I think. Is it just Pedro who leaves fuel in his tank or is this common? I suppose only just over half a tank would suffice.

And as luck would have it, my bubbleless clunk turned up today as well!

What's the concencus on main needle settings? A lot of the yanks are talking about a couple of clicks shy of 2 turns, which sounds way too rich to me.

Well I have just encountered my first cheese screw on the engine mount, luckily I could just undo the main engine bolts and drop it out from there!

I fitted the bubbleless clunk and swapped the bungs over makeing sure they are well fitted to the tank. I have pressurised the tank up and will leave it overnight and see if there are any leaks tomorrow, none so far!

I just left the clunk stock length and tilted the heli in most directions, there are a couple of points where it might run out of fuel I'll have to see how that pans out, might be time to invest in a decent header tank for it.

When I flew the Trex700 without a header tank, it always leaned out after 1/3 of a tank of 3D flight. Fitting the header tank solved that issue pretty much, although the header would have a lot of air in it after a complete flight due to the main clunk pickup collecting air.

I would fit a header regardless, and have that extra peace of mind
        Cheers,
        Rob

Anyone know where there is a OS91HZ piston in stock? FL are oos at the moment. Does the piston come with a piston ring?

I thought the bungs were fixed, everything was going fine then on the third tank the piston went pop and it auto'ed down.

Edge of the piston has blown out on the exhaust port side.

          Not a happy bunny!

Header tank will be here tomorrow, but thats a bit too late for this poor engine.

I leave both my tanks full to the brim, never any leaks. Just change the position of the fuel line clamps from time to time to stop it permanantely kinking the line.

I'm running the clunk (fuel Magnet) on the outside hole but you need to shorten the pickup considerably so it doesn't catch in the nearest tank corner or it will go lean or stop as it catches.

I always fill the tank as soon as I land. The clunkline and Fuel Magnet were pinched from my 2nd Trex 600 being well over a year old with no degredation. Recently my 700 was severely trashed and the tank lay empty for 3 weeks...guess what..no fuel Magnet left..Always fill her up.

Well I was always in that good habit until I started running the YS in the Knight, today I was good and filled up after every flight. I am still a bit hacked off over the piston at the moment, hopefully tomorrow I will have got over it!
