Well, I got off lightly thats for sure. £40 in parts and a set of blades. Flybar was untouched and I had some bearings and main/spindle shafts in stock.
Question though,
The rubber boots around the torque tube bearings?? I dont think they come with the torque tube kit and they don't seem to be available seperately. Am I going to have to dremel the boom off the torque tube to retrieve them?

You did well there Tom, considering the violence of the Boom Strike
I managed to boom strike someones 700 on Friday, it was nothing to do with the dampers though. It was a combo of one slight slack main blade and a slack boom mount bracket.
The blade slapped the boom when I added some back & left to slow down the blades after landing to check the engine temp. Just a small dent, no damage to the blades or torque tube.
Conclusion was as mentioned above, one blade grip was a little bit slack for liking and the boom clamp was able to slide on the boom.
As I was finishing my build on Friday afternoon, I made sure I had some servo tape in both halves of the boom clamp to tighten down on the boom with.
Worth taking a look to see if your boom clamp is tight to the boom.

My torque tube has just turned up but there doesnt seem to be any pins in it. on my old one there was a plastic sleeve on each end that seemed to cover the pins but on this one they are smooth where thay connect to the silver drive ?? is this a new style torque tube?
