If my Hypers run rough I've often added a second glow washer. You could try that as it will have the same effect - you might need to run 3 with a 90. At least it avoids having to remove the engine
My gears are not completely round either BTW and have never been. Not sure Align are that good at getting gears round

It would indeed have the same effect, but personally I would be very cautious of doing this since each time you add a plug washer, you reduce the amount of plug thread that engages in the cylinder head. Add that to a heavy hand on the plug spanner and you might end up stripping the thread out of the head which would be a lot more expensive than a gasket.Originally posted by richieclarkie View PostIf my Hypers run rough I've often added a second glow washer. 700 sorted!!!
Ok guys, I have to thank Mattie Lodge for having an eagle eye and spotting the problem with my 700. The problem was a banana boom! Its a new boom since a crash in January so must have been bent from new! Anyway, it never occured to me to check the boom but there it was - banana shaped causing all kinds of problems. The bend wasnt obvious to me and it was only when we removed the tail case and boom supports that it was noticeable.
Replaced the boom this evening and all is now well.
Thanks Mattie. You have a hawk eye for heli problems!!!!
P.S Thanks for the Aurrora flight. I can tick that one off my list now!
P.P.S - cows are just brilliant!Last edited by t-rex pedro; 23-06-2009, 09:01 AM.

Only flew it for a short time James but it felt very accurate and went exactly where I told it. I wouldn't say there is a massive difference between that and the 700 with my level of flying but the Aurrora did feel more '90' like, if that makes sense. Lovely machine and it was really good of Matt to talk/bully me into having a go!Originally posted by moonmanflyer View PostWhat you think of the aurora Pete?Last edited by t-rex pedro; 23-06-2009, 07:49 AM.
