    Fast Lad Performance thats a clone of mine. I have Canomods leveler.
    If unsure about one you get. When your swash is level just rotate it to confirm points.
    I use this as well Fast Lad Performance swash leveler on it is pants but great for pitch and so on. Handy for flybarless

      Heard good things about swash level tools. Personally I use the allen key method and by eye, seems to work for me.

            Does anyone know where you can get the kind that slides on and has a magnet that holds it to the mast?

            I think it's K&N or K&S or something

              Yes. Surely you are trusting your eyesite when you are using the allen key/swash level tool too?

              Neither of them tools above offer measurement how far out they are either.

                Eyeball it, it isn't hard. You get the swash level with a leveller and then as the heli has natural tendencies to lean right you have to add left trim

                Get it as level as you can then adjust linkages after a hover. as long as its close its not going to hurt you!

                  I use a metal ruler across the top bearing (tilted to fit) and my trusty Mk 1 eyeball - hasn't failed yet - 3 out of 3 built, all rock solid in the hover first time out.

                      Out of the slide over mast variety Trueblood machining is by far the nicest. I just bought the fusuno red anodized one from fast lad myself though.

                        I have never understood these because how do you know the gauge is perpendiclar to the mast? ie The bench is perfectly level? the skids are not bent or mishapen in any way allowing the mast to sit at a slight angle?

                          i raise the swash place the level on the top mast coller under the swash, set the heli level, pull it out and drop it on the swash.
                          I have a heli work stand so i lock it in the dead level positoin then do my swash setup.
                          i set top middle and bottom swash levels with the tool

                          another thing you can do with it is, when the heli is all built you can again place it below the swash on the top mast coller (i have a screwdriver through the top mast bolt hole) now use it in that position to set your c/g.
                          Ofcorse you dont need to go this far with most helis but it you want it nearly perfect, this is a good way to do it.

                            This is the kind I want. It rests on the main mast and is easy to use anywhere, at the field, etc. and can be used on different diameter main masts;

                              I agree. Been through this before in an earlier thread. You have to level two things this way - the heli and the swash.
