Mod 1 Gear and pinion.

Having fitted a new clutch liner in my 700 yesterday I took the chance to fit the latest Mod 1 gear and pinion to my 700.

Done a gallon today of hard flying with it and as yet perfect.

Had the day off work today took the chance to have a full afternoons flying and can only say I flew better than ever before.

Paul (Dougie) was with me and I can't believe the major steps he has taken over the last two weeks.

Roll on weekend folks, This hobby rocks.

No Martin your fine with the 600n mate.

The 700 (not mine) has had repeated main gears strip in flight so the Mod1 gear has "Deeper teeth" making the meshing stronger and touch wood more reliable.

Modulus is the ratio of the pitch of tooth to the diameter of a gear. Basically the 0.7mod gear of the 700 is replaced with a mod 1 (bigger teeth) in order to try to stop the gear stripping problem.
