  • Binned the 600NSP

If I am honest I am not sure what happened 1 second it was on the ground side on and the next second it was in lots of bits. Pilot Error....

I hit the Hold quick enough so it only managed to it the boom once.

    Damage comes to,

    Boom
    T Tube
    Fly Bar
    A links
    Main Blades
    Tail Blades
    Main Shaft
    2x servo gear sets

While stripping the heli down the main shaft bearings are knackered which is odd as they are only 4 month old and they havent had that much use...

So I now have 2 disabled Helis as the 450 needs dampers and a main gear...

Well I was going to book a couple of Lessons with Nigel Fraser Ker but I will out anything to fly and the money that I was going to spend on the lessons will have to go towards fixing the helis I am back to square 1.

Need lessons to get better and stop crashing or need to stop crashing to get lessons.....

    I feel better now....

Sorry to hear of your tales of woe Nick. If there's anything I can do to help you get airborne, (short of buying all the bits for you ), do let me know.

      Hi

Sorry to hear that, regarding the mainshaft bearings any crash will pass the shock on to the bearings, the metal bearing blocks on the SP transmit much more of the shock than plastic blocks do.

      Cheers
      Bob

Martin Thanks for the support but unfortunatly it as always come down to money.

I saw you got on well not that I want to jump in on your party but are there many Heli Piolts at the club you have joined?

As I am getting bored of flying on my own...

Yes, it is purely a heli club. There were abut a dozen or so fliers on Sunday, most of whom had bought at least 3 helis!

It's a nice little site, membership is £50 a year (plus £28 for BMFA). Drop me a PM with your number if you wanna chat further.

Maybe we should arrange a local fly in as im based in Surrey also and I work in Elstead so would be easy to leave the beam in the boot of my car

Sorry to here about your plight, it really sucks when it happens, I managed it three times in four weeks and it totally destroyed my confidence, only just getting back to where I was before.
I hope you get up and flying again soon.
