  • Canomod canopy extremely poor fit!?

I have just puchased a Canomod canopy for my 600NSP. this is not my first 600n canopy so i am familia with prepping it for fit taking care to get the bottom clip and grommet holes perfect for a tidy fit.

this particular canopy though is such a bad fit it is all but useless. once the bottom clip is located the canopy needs the be strethed past the frames to get to the canopy posts where on fitting the canopy "boes" so much that the shape is warped badly and contact is made with the pipe "MP5"

I took great care to position the holes for the grommets in their correct location and ensure the botom clip was secured as far back as possible to allow for the slightly oversized nature of the canomod.

Paint looks pretty but the fit is..... aweful. i'm going to have to send it back and hope i won't get any hassle with the replacement/refund!

Anyone else had issues with these?

I have one for my G5 which was admittedly free. It fit's OK but one side of it where the grommets are is woefully thin. I've not used it yet but I will be strengthening it before I do

Have you tried fitting it with the Rubber canopy spacers removed from the frames?

I've heard that people shorten them Thats why i suggested trying it with them removed, if it fits then you could shorten them.

Cheers Darren, i will give it a try. I am concerned though that it is the overall length also that is causing the problem. If i had made the grommet holes closer to the front of the canopy it would fit more flush however then i would be left with two "indentations" where the holes should go and that would look naff!!

I will try the mod mate this evening.. It has got o fit right though... shouldnt have to mod the canopy or heli to get a mass produced painted canopy to fit!

Got one on the way for the Aurora too... hope this is better
