One of the lads at the field, a top 3D guy hasn't stripped one in over 6 months shredded 3 in 2hrs (they were old gears). Very strange that it's so inconsistent.

the reason it's so inconsistant is down to the fact that align quality control isn't great. the holes within the frames for example could be slightly different and the way the gears are made you are liable never to get 2 exactly the same. it is a catch 22, people want cheap spares, you can't make a cheap CNC gear.

                  cheers

I agree with the gears being inconsistent but the frames should all be identical as they are punched out and the only machining is for clean-up.
I reckon that we'll find the clutch block bearings are sh****d.

My MicroHeli mod 1 maingear and pinion arrived this morning, should get them fitted before the weekend.

If you look on Align's website the dash 1 gears are the only ones listed now.

well i can knock that on the head right now. i have a pair of 700's and one of them needing massaging with a file around the tail holes to use the boom housing from the other. as i said before, align QC isn't great. it won't be the same machine doing the punching i'd wager.

                        cheers
