  • Trex 700 MOD1 gear here

as promised on another couple of threads i would post up when i had the MOD1 kit....well............i have it!

few pics attached, i've not tried/fitted it yet but once again the machining looks excellent. all goes to plan i think fastlad will have this kit as they carry the other upgrades made by miro. in mean time this is a prototype one so the final design may change, i can't say.

you can clearly see the difference over the stock gear below.

i have no pricing info etc as yet. i will review over next week/2 on fitting and how it flies, any noise impact etc. wether this will fix the dreaded gear problem is open to debate but this is the most likely cure currently due for release.

    cheers

Looks good but am I correct in thinking the holes in the side frames for the engine/clutch mounts will need slotting. If this fixes the problem, which is looking likely, there are going to be some red faces in the align engineering dept.

this is a NO MOD bolt in job. you will not need to do anything at all other than fit it.

                cheers

I will reserve judgement until this has thoroughly done the rounds with many many fliers.

This is obviously not an Align fix but a 3rd party fix i assume.

Certainly because as far as Align are concerned there is no problem...as usual

if i had to pick one thing that would fix it out the commonly mentioned ones then i think this has the best chance.

that said both my 700's will have metal clutch blocks, modded mesh, 3rd block and MOD 1 gear.

HOWEVER, for the purpose of this test i will fly it as it comes with no mods. once happy it works i'll put the mods back on for peace of mind for me, i have already paid for them after all!

                        cheers
