I Have flown / owned. Min-Air, Hirobo, Robbe-Schluter, Koyosho, Kalt , Align and others. I believe the longevity tends to suffer with Align. Areas such as bearings, slop, play and premature wear.
Other issues such as the 700 main gear and possibly the 450 pro shaft drive could be problems as a result of pressures of bringing models to the market early. This however leaves some feeling like Beta-testers.
Align has introduced many new addicts into the hobby and helped keep many in it. Align is built to a price. You could argue economies of scale as Align mass produce.
Personally. and it is only my personal opinion. I believe you get what you pay for most of the time. This is the case with Align.
Are they good helis? Yes
Could they be improved? Yes
Would that increase cost? Most definitely.
