Fitting Canopy Grommets

Out of interest does everyone fit the black washers with the rubber grommets? I didn't bother with the original canopy, but when the grommet gets lose it eats through the fiberglass.

I have just got a Funso canopy (and quick UK mounts) so don't want the same to happen. I presume you have to open the hole out to get the black washers to mount properly? Do the washers go on the outside?

Yup, washers go on the outside. Open up the holes with a reamer.
