i have managed to straiten a couple of pipes bent like yours with water and the freezer method plug the manifold with a c cell battery with a layer of tape around it make's it a tight fit fill with water make shure you get all the air out ,takes a bit off shaking to get all the air out then plug the end put in the fridge over night check in the morning youl be suprised how much it will move the dents if not quite happy do it again , then strait'n the bolt plate with plyers , it may not look as new but will work fine

you should of seen it, it stripped on the floor during spool up

there must of been 20 complete teeth sat on the floor around it

sorry tom, know I shouldn't laugh, but with your luck this weekend, what else can you do

          sorry for delay in response.

what you do is fill it with water and bung up the holes with something. be very careful doing this and make sure all air is out the pipe. i should say there is a chance if not done right the pipe will rupture so keep checking it every hour or so and check progress. i wouldn't leave it in freezer overnight unattended.

you may need to spend a few days with freezing, thawing, freezing, thawing etc to get it right. i've seen far worse than that come back out the freezer and being perfectly usable.

          cheers

Thanks, I will give that a go. I will be much happier if I can get that sorted.

Anyway, I found out why it hit the dirt!! The power lead from the Flighttech 8A reg came out of the receiver!!

Those things are loose in the AR7000. anyone any tips for securing them??

I always run a thick bead of hot glue around the edge of the plugs which secures them nicely - I've never had a problem since doing this, I had a cyclic servo disconnect on my synergy last year and now do it on all machines as a matter of course.

if you were in a hover and a link snaps from the upper mixer to the blade what usually happens is that blade will find the path of least resistance through the air (0 degrees pitch). I've had this happen a couple of times and all that happens is you get a bit of vibration and it will loose height as only one blade is now providing lift. It slamming into the ground sounds like something else to me.

A small dia carbon rod threaded through the wiring and little elastic band as above is another method.

sorry to hear about your trail of destruction!

No problem Tom just thought it would be mutually beneficial.
