  • kamikaze 700

Well, I spent £500 last week getting the 700 back in the air after pilfering it for electronics to get the Aurora in the air.

Today went to the field to run in the new piston and ring in the OS 91 SZ-H as I had busted that before pilfering

Anyway, was in the hover over the strip when blam, it smashed straight into the dirt!! still dont know why but its broke to say the least.

    Parts needed:

    Torque tube
    Fin set
    Flybar
    Tail blades
    Main blades
    Mainshaft
    Feathering shaft
    Tail output shaft
    Hatori pipe
    Main shaft bearings
    Gov sensor
    Tail control arm

and I havent even tested the electronics yet!!

sorry about that but some slightly better news is i think that hatori is fixable. it's certainly worth a dabble with a freezer imo.

        cheers

Its likely that either a rocket link snapped or a metal ball came unscrewed. Im on my mobile so cant actually see much. I found that running 690s and using the quk links stopped mine having kamikaze episodes. Dont know if this will help you. Trev

I reckon that muffler will straighten out Tom with a little help in a jig.

I have had the Quick UK links for quite some time now but never got round to fitting them yet.

Very hard to tell but I would like to hear more about the link splitting.

What draws you to this initial conclusion?

Well, its a very vague conclusion at the moment as I havent tested my electronics yet. I found one link on the grip that was pushed over the ball. (as if pushed on too far) other than that its all I can think of. It was definitely head related but I can fine no other damage to the head. no loose balls or anything.

I hope so, I may try to plug it and heat it up then force some air into it with an airline??

Fill it with water, plug it and stick it in the freezer.
