  • Align 2 in 1 with DS610 cyclic..??

    Hi there

Are there many members here running thier 600N with X3 DS610 servos off an Align 2 in 1 regulator....?? Im unsure what sort of current draw the DS610 take and if the 2 in 1 can supply enough current...?? Any feedback would be great....and/or suggestions what sort of regulator to replace the Align item with if needed... ive seen this http://www.flighttechdistribution.co.uk/index.asp?page=Products/Product(Info.asp^item=FT8AVR but unsure whats its like...??

    Thanks
    Ken

People have been running the 8717's on the 2 in 1 with no problems. Having said that, the 2 in 1 has failed with non digi servos. I would say current draw is the least of your worries with the 2 in 1.

I have been running the 2 in 1 with align ds 610 cyclics & a spectrum bls251 tail servo in my 600 pro.
Mind you I choose to charge the lipo after every flight as they do pull a fair chunk of power & easily get down to the red & orange light after every 12 minuet flight.
I have uprated my lipo for a 2s revo 2100 which I feel gives a much better duration & is prety bullet proof over that 1900ma align pack.
I use that to wedge the door open in the modeling room now

                Thanks for the feedback guys........

I know some people have other "issues" with the 2 in 1 other than current draw.....but ive had no problems with mine running on the current Hitec cyclic servos.....I was just aware the DS610 servo can draw quite abit out of your flight pack.......

                Cheers

Didn't Align change the design to a more robust 2-in-1? See http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/he50...bo-p-2204.html for details. It provides 6v at 6A and is now waterproof, not sure about fuel proof??

Running the 610's and 2 in 1 reg on my 600NSP and no problems. The 1900mah battery didn;t last too many flights on mine so upgraded to an outrage 5000mah pack and can now fly all day with no worries.

I'm running my 700 with the Align 2 in 1 regulator fitted, Ace 1013 servos on cyclic (more torque & faster than 610's), Spartan 760 with BLS251 servo. This setup pulls more amps than the 610's in a 600 and I've had no issues at all. I am using a 3000mah lipo pack from Real Raptors though as the 1900mah really isn't enough.

Just out of interest, how much current does a DS610 draw? What would be the power consumption of the electrics on a typical setup? That should allow the calculation of the power requirement of the flight battery pack.
