personally i think the MOD is far too small for a 90.

sorry, guess i missed that, must be the beer lolOriginally posted by raptorheli2 View Posti think your bang on rob. it is down to pot luck mostly but it's based on a few things.
1. how accurate the holes are on your frames (it's align, say no more)
2. the clutch block is made from stilton
3. the main gear should be mod 1 which i doubt will ever happen. they would have done it instead of making the new gears larger.
cheers

I've just been looking at the prices for all the "issues" the 700 has had.
£25.99 for microheli maingear
£34.20 for the QUK control joint set (brittle ball links)
£18.99 for the RC screwz set (Replaces Cheesium screws)
add the postage in and we are talking around £85 to get the machine how it should have been from day one!
Not to mention a little bit of bling like metail tail grips etc.
Perhaps the kit wasn't as cheap as we had all hoped for?

I still cant really knock Align,i have been looking at other manufacturers offerings lately in great detail and they dont offer anything like the spec for the same price, the ones with similar specs are much more expensive.
I personally love my 700 to bits, with or without its possible problems and there isnt another 90 on the market that i would even take a second look at.
I have been mainly looking at Mikados offerings but their prices are a complete joke for an all plastic heli.
I hope to god Align do a 550 next,if so i will be on the list for one.

lol,Originally posted by machasm View PostRub it in why don't you.
well so far we are at
1 x micro heli cnc main gear,
1 x quick uk clutch,
1 x set of quick uk links, balls, flybar control rod, main grip pitch arms,
1 x lirons screw set.
even so, after all that you are left with a cheap 90, love it!

Most of Aligns problems are because they release the model too quickly.
All of their models are sorted in a few months.
I have owned many makes over the years but the stuff i am running now is the most reliable, flies the best,is cheapest to repair and is better supported than anything i have ever had.
All my electric Aligns are totally trouble free, the 600N`s had an issue or two when they were new but are 100% reliable now,my 700 has had the new Quick links and i have changed the main gear just in case but thats it.
And i am still unconvinced about the links as being a problem anyway really
