The washers are precision made so should fit perfect Martin.

As for the size they are in your heli manual.

Please remember these are for the T-Rex 600 and 700.

Your 500 has smaller bolt sizes IIRC so please check before you buy.

Nice find, look a little more expensive than the original ones I posted but at least they are in the UK so you should get them fairly quickly

Not much good on a 700 or 600, the original bolts have a thicker than thread shoulder near the head, hence needing shouldered washers to be able to use std M3 allen bolts

Apart from the bling factor what is the difference between these and using a M3 x 9 or M4 x 9 flat washer, in terms of spreading the load of the bolt over a larger area?

The said washers have a flange on the frame side thus making a solid fit with no movement or bearing twist etc Andy.

I have read on Helifreak that some are using standard M3 bolts and standard flat washers with no bother.

Can't see why it won't work but I'd sooner have everything lined up as it should be.

Just to give an update on these flanged washers. I ordered some from ebay (link provided by busterboy) and received them today. I have fitted them with M3 x 10mm HT bolts and the washers sink into the frame perfectly with no slop whatsoever, they also seem to be good quality and are machined well.

Maybe a little expensive for some washers but they will stop me having to slot the original bolts with a dremel everytime I smash the 600 and need to replace the mainshaft bearings, well worth it imo. I could just stop crashing though, that would also solve the problem!

Fell foul of the Cheesium bolts myself this evening.
After receiving my new bling from Grieg in the form of metal mounting blocks I set about undoing the bolts on the old plastic ones on my 500.
A job that should have taken 10 mins turned into 1 1/2 hours!
5 of the 8 bolts rounded off and I had to end up using a fine hacksaw to cut grooves in the heads.
Much cursing and mutterings later the job was finally done.
                        Boy what a palava!

I was lucky, when I fitted the washers today I only rounded 2 out of 16 bolts

I replaced all the M2.5 button head bolts on my 500 for proper cap screws when I built it, they stick out a little further but now very little chance of rounding them. If you don't have a decent hardware shop near you, modelfixings as mentioned earlier sell them and are pretty reasonably priced, you would probably get full set for less than £10.

Mine came today too Greig and the quality is very good IMO.

The spacers I ordered from Sao's link also came and TBH don't look too different.

Will be fitting these all in good time.

                            Very pleased with them.

i dermal a slot a cross the heads and undo them with a screw driver then replace with a new screw and i dont use locktight i use a glue like boskik or evo stick to hold the screw in.
a small tip if you use locktite heat it up with a soildering iron first it will break the seal

Has anyone tried using Torx screws? Not sure if they are available in the sizes we need tho.
