about time they sorted out an upgrade for those stripping main gears int it.
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

      And a DX8 too

I just read it on rr so went and ordered some. Strangely enough i think the guys post has gone un-noticed, they are too busy moaning about other stuff.

fyi the "pros" have went back to the std gear as this one is killing bearings and sapping power (too big).

i've modded both my 700's with normal m3x12 bolts and washers instead of the cap heads so i can set the mesh. been fine for about 10 flights now. even if i buy the new gears i shall still set the mesh.

          cheers

i believe that is a microheli part. i'm not convinced that will fix the problem myself as the problem seems to be the system is moving. that said that will be a much better quality main gear for people that would rather have something better made.

              cheers

I find it amusing that the fix is a new main gear but the problem is deformed bearing blocks for the clutch pinion. Surely fix the bearing blocks and the problem goes away??

I did the same and my main gear lasted 3 times longer than normal before stripping (but still stripped). It seemed to help thats for sure.

thats good to know as i don't think setting the mesh is the ultimate fix. i'm personally waiting on the metal clutch blocks which are being made right now. that along with adjustable mesh should fix it.

                      cheers
