My Journey to the darkside

Well after years of Nitro hatred and only flying E-Helis I finally got sick and tired of being limited to how many times I could fly in a trip to the field and having to push start the van after flating the battery from charging, I finally succumbed to the darkside and have gone Nitro with a T-rex 700.

I'll keep this thread up to date with my thoughts on going to the darkside.

Ran my first two tanks through it today, would have run more but it's bleeding cold and I lost feeling in my hands on the second tank so quit while ahead.
I was quite surprised it started on the second tank as my prior experiance with nitro trucks and buggies was nothing but a headache!

I've got quite a steep learning curve ahead on engine tuning but I am sure with help here on the forum, via text message from one helpfull member (thanks again Phil) and help from fellow club members hopefully it won't be to hard to master the dark art of tuning nitro engines.

Even though I froze my nuts off today I left the field with a big grin on my face

Nice heli ... you wont go back to the light side when you been tempted to the dark side ... I sold all my elecs and just fly nitro now ... Hmm what is it with this pink fuel tubing on aligns ??? lol

Nice photos... but there is something missing in them - no right boot!

Looking good - well done for getting though 2 tanks. I was only able to do 2 flights of about 1/2 a tank each before admiting defeat!!

Nothing to do with me this time Mike... i think Tim (Busterboy) may have some influence with the pink fuel tubing Noticed he has it too.

just gone from the dark side to the electric side and im going back to the dark side..after 3 blown speedo's on the trex 600 esp(1oo amp ones) im peed off big time..if i dont go to the dark side i might get a stretch on the inside returning my faulty speedo to midland haha
