  • 700N QuickUK ball links

JUst putting the head together and have a wee question. The align ball links for the mixing arms are shorter than the ones from quickuk. Is this correct? Am using the right ones?

I take it the ones with the screws are for the servo wheels?

Yes they are the only ones you don't change. Keep the Align ones on them as the arms are too big for the Quick UK ones....had exactly the same question when building mine.

and yest the ones with the screws are for the servo horns.....The two mixing arms are the only ones that you leave the Align balls on (i.e. two align balls). The others all change over nicely.

Benjy, are you talking about the washout mixing arms or the seesaw mixing arms. I have replaced the ones on the seesaw with the quk ones but just noticed the align ones on the washout arms are longer than quk.

You are saying the two on the washout should stay as align, correct?

the two links that are connected to the radius arms on the washout, these are the only origional ones that have to stay on the heli.
          All the best

What Tony said, the full kits now come with replacement long balls for the main blade grips and both sides of the flybar cage, only two original balls are those the radius arms fit on. If you take the mainshaft out and disconnect the swash plate, make sure you put the radius arms on the right balls otherwise they are a very loose fit and you bugger up two Quick UK links, guess how I know I'm looking forward to QUick UK making replacements for these now so I don't have to carry spare original & Quick UK balls.

Some of the balls themselves are slightly shorter than the Align ones, as long as you use long Quick UK ones where long Align ones are removed you won't have a problem, it ends up with the links a little closer to the arms but it won't bind or cause any issues.
