i was going to put a little blog up on rex tuning about this but my camera is playing up and the pics look shocking :-(

anyways, there is a few fixes on HF for this issue and i have tried them on mine as i have chewed up the main gear aswell mid flight.

basically take the clutch block and sand them on flat surface then put them back together to help squeeze the clutch/start shaft bearings more.

next either buy or make up this-

                  http://www.helidaddy.com/product_p/hd70003.htm

this allows you to adjust the mesh. time will tell if this will work but it can't be worse i would have thought.

fyi the larger gears apparently are the opposite and kill bearings. align machines just don't have the quality to do this without making the mesh adjustable it seems.

lastly someone is making a metal clutch block but it's not for sale yet.

                  cheers

Another benefit it does away with those damn shouldered screws, which incidently are putty again.
                    All the best
