  • Trex 600 Sport Build

As I wanted to start gathering together the necessary parts for a Winter/Spring Trex 600 Sport build, I just wanted some nice person to advise me on the best internals to get for when I start the build. I already have a DX7 TX and was going to buy the AR7000 RC and 4 DS821 Servos to go with it! Eventually I want to go scale, so will not in any way be building it with 3D in mind..

Engine get a hyper and hatori pipe (Or Zimmerman pipes are good might fit scale better)

    Gyro a futaba 401 and 9254 servo

Servo's get futaba 3152's from inwoods if I was you

thats should suit any scale project

he doesn't want it for 3d.

so why not the 401 ?

        otherwise you'd want a CSM 720

Spartan or 720 I'd not bother with the 401 for the few quid you'd save

Align 600 gyro and servo combo will be fine on a scale heli and save you at least 50% cost against a higher end gyro and servo.

            Just thought I'd add that

Setup is identical to the 401, which you have to admit is pretty easy

                Cheers,

The 401 does it for me - easy to setup and flew solid straight off the workbench, its certainly good enough for scale. And no need to spend a vast amount on super fast billy whizz servos neither.

                      Thats IMHO of course!

I've flown one on my Trex500 a couple of times briefly - not had a chance to put it through it's paces in terms of 3D flight yet as I've had "issues" with the 500 - however, the tail held fine in the gentle bimbling I have done with it on there, so I suspect it's easily as good as the 401.

120 pounds ain't a bad price inc tail servo
True, but the align offering is a shed load cheaper...

The only difference is the 401 is long term proven - Align gyro hasn't been available long enough as yet to have that same said about it.
My gut feeling is that it will be fine.
                        Cheers,

600 is very good my mrs had one on her k3d, ive got the 700 on mine and bar a couple of heli setup issues it knocks spots off it and that too is still cheaper than the 401. Dont get me wrong the 401 is a bloody good gyro and it just works i just think with the spartan at £120 is and the 401 at £99 youd be better spending the little extra and getting the spartan
