Tail turns during loops & flips ?

Hello,

I’ve recently had a problem with my TREX600 NSP during loops and continues flips where the tail will slowly turn nose right

I thought I might be me giving the heli some rudder while in the loop or flips, so I set -35% exponential on the rudder to make the centre stick movements less sensitive but it doesn’t seem to make any difference, plus my 450 doesn't do this.

I thought about uping the gain on my gyro but i think i'm about on the limit as i get a bit of a wag when i turn back into the wind. It makes the situation worse if i lower the gain.

Is there anything obvious I should check ? I’m using a gy401 & S9254 on the tail.

firstly is the mechanical centre of the gyro correct (ie stup in rate mode first and ajusted so no drift in rate via link rod??), I it is then move on to step 2, check the mixing arms are setup corectly on your head i suggest a fullhead setup pm me for my msn addy and ill talk you thru it later. and if that fails its you on the sticks sunshine i get rudder movements when im trying to stick bang cos im just too hamfisted with the sticks!! but im getting etter at spotting it and i can now spot it ad correct it before most people even see it!!.

matt are you using spektrum radio as minus expo makes them more sensitive around center

Most of the time if this problem developes it is more mechanical thean a gyro prob.
Check every thing around the tail controls to make sure nothing has come lose and there is no slop.

My mechanical zero position on the servo give me zero pitch on the tail rotor, i think this is my trouble. I'll set it up in non-heading hold mode like you've suggested steelie600

I'm using a JR 9x - Sorry, I mean't positive exponential - I'd set it properly on my transmitter but thought it was negative for some reason ??

I'll post back with my findings, if the weather picks up
