  • Battery for 600NSP

    Hi all

The battery that came with my 600NSP doesn't really seem to last very long. Its a 1900mah one.

Anyone got any recommendations for a better alternative?

    Thanks

Capacity improves over the first 10 charges.
Keep it warm (in this weather).
I get 4-5 flights with my knight and 5-6 with my 600n from this 1900 pack.

As an alternative try the outrage 2500, 3500 or the big expensive 2s2p - these come with an align socket or at least an adaptor.
My 600n could do with a bit more weight in the nose anyway.

Thanks James. I do get that. Just thought they maybe bigger capacity batteries that last longer for it. I don't get chance to get out much flying so the more I can do in one session the better really.

yes my align pack ran out fast i think it may be my servos eating up lots of power.then after 4 months the align pack puffed and died now using flight power 3000 mah 2s rx pack 6 to 7 flights with bls 451s servos much better.
outrage ,thunder power, flight power, all do good 2s rx packs

Next time your in Leeds Model Shop take a look there Richard.

They have a host of 7.4v Lipos that fit the bill nicely.

If not Fastlads are selling these ThunderPower Packs for £29.99.

I bought one for the 700 and can fly all day with it.

I thought this might be useful for comparison:

A week ago last Sunday I went flying at a local farm with Trebor27, I had 8 flights with my Raptor 30, went through 1/2 gallon of fuel and my receiver pack which is a 4 cell Ni-MH rated at 2200mAh, took 1800mAh to recharge.

On average, each 7 minute flight took 225 mAh out of the pack. I have standard servo's for the cyclics and throttle and a digi futaba 9254 for the tail. Obviously digi servo's on cyclics will demand slightly more (tail servo works the hardest), but even then I would've thought a 2000 mAh pack would give you a days worth of flying?

The problem with bigger packs mean more weight. Why not get a spare 1900-2000, 2 cell lipo and swap over halfway through the day, this will keep your heli lighter and improve performance?
                  regards

                  Pip

Hey, where d'you learn to fly? I saw you shoot your rocket
                  up.............. into the sky.

Hey, I heard you set the pace, I never thought I'd see you back................ in this old place!

I went to lipo so I could charge my heli and then take it off the shelf a month later and fly it, wihout worrying about a top up charge.
however if you can find an nimh pack wih the new eneloop cells then they reatain 80% after a year so are as good as lipo from that point of view.
A 4300 5cell subC nicad pack should than be good enough for anything really, and fewer items to go wrong.
If only it lit the glow plug like my 2 in1.

If not Fastlads are selling these ThunderPower Packs for £29.99.
This TP pack appears to have no balance lead, so I'd check on that before buying.

Correct, No balance lead but at that price and only 2s I don't think you can go far wrong.
