  • Trex 700 Build issues?

    Hi,

Just building my 700 and have a couple of issues. I have correctly built the tail section but when i turn the head or main gear it doesnt seem dead smooth it turns freely but if i was to give it a good spin it wouldnt continue spinning for very long.

Also i have about two to three mm of play in the elevator rod (one that fixes the two bell cranks together) it doesnt show in the manual any washers just the two spacers.

Also is it worth trying the align Gov?

    Many Thanks

    Stan

my kit came with shims to take the elevator rod end float out

as for the tail have you pushed the boom too far in?
or you may have a high spot on one of the gears

    my align gov didn't work

There are usually brass (i.e. yellow looking) spacers, 4 I think... Two thin and two thicker... Add them as required to remove the end float, if you have add all 4 and you have a ***little*** it's probably nothing much to worry about as it's not a high speed part or anything....

for the tail I noticed if you hard pushed the boom in it would make the tail out put gears move out slightly and make it tight

just push the two gears back in towards the torque tube
