Is the new elevator linkage arm (as on the 700) a direct replacement for the existing link and anti-rotation bracket. Are the servo links the same length?

It is a direct swap although I did have to adjust the links, this may be down to having the Quick UK swash. It certainly does remove the slop from the anti rotation bracket but I couldn't notice any different to the way the model flys after fitting it.

Yes its a direct replacement and includes a new X-shaft pivot.
In all fairness the 600NSP lower metal arms are preventing a lot of the swash twisting compared to a standard 600N. There is only a very small improvement thats possibly more visual than noticable in flight with the A arm fitted.
Its easy to do just some and a pitch gauge. As for link lengths..that depends if yours matches exactly the height of the A Arm..(highly unlikely).

HI
If you originally set your head up with 50% stick - liner pitch curve - all servo cams horizontal - zero pitch....then it should should go straight on!
Ken"Yes it is hard to fly"

Hi Ken, in theory yes it will be, but 99.9% of the time all is not perfect..
. So a bit of twiddling will prob be needed.
Something else worthy of a brief mention is with same +/- you dont actually get an equal upright/inverted climb rate so its not all as equal as it all initially seems!...

I put the elevator arm upgrade on my 600nsp... Actually fitting was piece of cake.. As mentioned the metal shaft for the elevator arm is replaced as on the new shaft the recessed spot for the grub screw is central, I think the original was offset to one side a bit?
Because the A-frame elevator arm is a fixed length, and non-adjustable, I did have to tweak my other two swash-->bell-crank rods a little, they were very close, but not close enough....
I can't tell any difference flying wise on my 600nsp, but I'm only at the hovering stage, so I guess I might not anyway.... But personally I just think it looks much better than that huge anti-rotation bracket! They both seem to perform the same job equally well...
I'm toying with getting one of the metal "cross members", like where the two tail supports mount to the main frames, to go where the anti-rotation bracket used to be to add a bit more frame rigidity in that area....

Thanks Trebor27, no changes to the servo to A-frame lengths? Good idea regarding the cross member though.Originally posted by trebor27 View PostI put the elevator arm upgrade on my 600nsp...
