TT or belt what would you do?

After an arival with my 600 pro after a failed auto attempt that turned into a dead stick at 30 ish feet & near zero head speed my 600 is in need of repair.

Boom,
Torque Tube assembly
Front & Rear Umbrella Gears
Main Drive Gear
Auto Rotation Gear
The Double link set that goes from the blade grip to the pitch lever.
Main shaft set
440mm Fly bar

Not too much but theres a set of radix to go in there also.
Even so it comes to £65 before post without the blades
I was wondering if it's worth going back to the belt tail which I still have for this model which would save me about £23 but will I miss my torque tube or not?
What do you guys reckon, is it worth down grading the tail till I get the hang of these auto thingies.

I'd go with the belt, mine started as a standard sport with belt but after a minor crash I stripped a tail gear and fitted the TT drive boom off my 600E, can't say the difference was really that noticable and the belt is much more forgiving.

Nothing wrong with the belt option.
Auto's will be easier with shaft drive due to less drag in the system, but you'll be hard pushed to tell the difference

agree with that, not much difference between belts and torque tubes that you could notice, most of it is all hype.

I bought the torque tube as an upgrade for my 600E, it was supposed to give longer flight time (less drag) and better autos (ditto), talk about an anti-climax!

It's a done deal then I will save the money on the TT & umbrella gears & get a set of Stick Bangers for her instead

Get some new Torsion 600mm blades... in the few flights I've had on them so far, they are very good!!
And only £47!!

they were for a 450 steve dont think they will be any good on a 600 mate.

Stick bangers will not auto well at all, much worst than normal radix so if you are still learning to auto get yourself some of the £40 silvers, they perform brilliantly for the money

Buy the 1/2 priced SB's AND a set of the Silver Funkey's!

They are great blades and they seem to auto better than Radix.
I've not used the SB's so I can't compare to them.
