I have a Trex 600 nsp, which has the Align badged OS50 hyper. I am using the Super Pro Align exhaust at the moment, but would like a quite pipe as I have the use of a field next to my sisters house when I go and visit, but there are 2 houses fairly near and I don't want to annoy them. So what's the best pipe to use, any experiences and what will change concerning setup etc?

Changing the engine may have more of an effect than changing the pipe.
I've just killed my YS50ST in my JR Airskipper recently beyond repair and have replaced it with an Align 50 Hyper. Everything else about the heli is the same including the muffler (MP5), so only the engine has changed. The sound is now significantly louder with the new engine. The YS was whisper-quiet in comparison.JR Vibe Fifty fb (YS56)

The only mufflers that passed our noise test were the zimmermans. I don't know how they effect performance but no-one seems to be too concerned. It's often not the engine noise but the fact that it is moving and the height is also a factor. Where you have no trees or buildings at say 30ft the noise no matter how quiet can be heard above all else.

My knight is a lot quieter than my 600n. both have hypers with hatori 522 mufflers. The difference is the knight has the motor on flexible mounts so not all the motor vibration goes into the frame.
Like they say, the difference in noise between the different mufflers probably won't make the difference between a complaint and no complaint unless they are already a mile away. Its more about the attiude of the neighbour...www.heli-extreme.co.uk a good club in south Sheffield

I'm not positive on which Zimmerman muffler you would need, but it will cost a significant chunk of change more than the Outrage 50 muffler, which is really very good!
Worth a thought
